If you’ve never tried dukkah before you will fall in love with its versatility and wonderful, complex flavour.
Dukkah is an Egyptian spice blend made from roasted nuts, seeds and spices. This Roasted Hemp Seed Dukkah is unique as it features Vasse Valley’s famous roasted hemp seeds.
In Australia it is traditionally eaten on bread dipped in olive oil, but dukkah offers so much more than that! Think potato wedges, roast veggies, soups, dips, chicken or fish crumb and salads!
Winner of a silver medal at the 2019 Sydney Fine Foods awards and a bronze medal at the 2019 Perth Food Awards awards, we guarantee you will love our Roasted Hemp Seed Dukkah.
Packed with the goodness of almonds, hemp seeds, sesame seeds and spices plus a subtle after-hit of chilli this is a healthy way to add guilt-free flavour with flare to your favourite savoury dishes.
Dukkah Health benefits
Both almonds and hemp seeds are a rich source of plant-based protein, good fats (omegas) and fibre, which aids with immune function and overall health and well-being.
Roasted hemp seeds are whole seeds – meaning the fibre content is much higher than hulled seed.
Hemp seeds also contain calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, potassium, phosphorous and vitamin E. Almonds are also rich in Vitamin E, antioxidants, manganese and magnesium (Healthline).
Spices contain compounds that help to stimulate various systems within your body, including your endocannabinoid system! Dukkah provides an easy way to spice up your diet.
All ingredients used in our dukkah are natural, vegan friendly and gluten free and preservative free. There are no nasties in here!
