Nothing beats a perfectly cooked steak, unless it is a perfectly marinaded steak! In this marinade, the earthiness of Vasse Valley’s Roasted Hemp Seed Crumble pairs beautifully with the high quality scotch fillet.
Red meat has received a bad rep over the last decade. Whilst we agree that eating too much red meat can be bad for your health, a little bit (say one or two serves per week), can be highly nutritious. Steak contains protein, good fats, vitamins and minerals which are highly bioavailable to your body. Served with a fresh salad your body will thank you!
- 2 x 150g scotch fillet
- 1 tbsp seeded mustard
- 1 1/2 tbsp Vasse Valley Roasted Hemp Seed Crumble
- 4 sprigs thyme
- Salt & pepper
- Mix the mustard, hemp crumble and thyme in a bowl.
- Rub over the steak and season with salt and pepper.
- You can make this in advance and leave to marinade or cook straight away.
Also great to rub over your roast beef!
