Essentially, turmeric is also a potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant and may also help improve symptoms of depression and arthritis. Make sure you have it in combination with black pepper to enhance its bioavailability.
Hemp seed dukkah
If you’re not yet familiar with Vasse Valley’s Roasted Hemp Seed Dukkah there is a good reason why it has been included in this recipe. It is NOT your regular dukkah.
Firstly, it contains Vasse Valley’s unique Roasted Hemp Seed Crumble, which adds a nutty, earthy flavour and crunch.
Secondly, the carefully selected spices are balanced in just the right way to give it that award-winning WOW factor. Caution – this product is highly addictive!

To tell you the truth I was never sold on the idea of tofu scramble before… but doing veganuary I knew I had to try it. And boy am I glad I did, because it is SO good! I felt like I was eating at a vegan cafe with this meal, it hit allll the right spots. It’s so simple too, it’d be silly for me to type up a proper recipe! Simply crumble tofu in a bowl, combine with turmeric, garlic powder, salt and pepper, then cook in some oil for 5 minutes or so. Towards the end, add some parsley and cook for 2 more minutes. I like using turmeric because it gives the scramble a yellow colour that resembles scrambled eggs, but you can get creative and use whatever you think would taste good. #veganuary #veganuary2021
